Last summer we purchased a used mini van and the air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air. I said I would only buy it if the air was fixed. They told me they charged it, that was all it needed. Within a month I went back & told them it wasn't blowing cold anymore, their response was that I had a lot of space in the van to cool off. I just had the van serviced by my own mechanic and told him to check the air. He informed me that they put a refrigerant blend in the system, and it pretty much ruined. He also informed me that this type of blend has butane in it, and that if there would be a leak somewhere in the engine, and you'd make a spark the vehicle could explode! He says it will cost between $800.00 - $1000.00 just to get this crap out of the system to check it over & see if it can be repaired. I want the dealer to pay to remove this unsafe product, and get the system operating properly. Do I have any legal recourse against them?
