I have a friend who is 28 and lives in Mississippi and she has been talking to this guy who is 16. He asked her to pick him up from work one day and she did. Well, she went over the state line to Tennessee with him and they spent the day together. She had no idea that he was 16 at the time and that his parents did not know where he was. Later he went home and his parents had him arrested for running away. They are threatening to have her arrested for assisting him in rumming away and taking him across the state line. Is this legal? Can they have either of them arrested? What for?

Your friend could be charged with contributing to the deliquency of a minor. It is probably a misdeamor in your state. I would suggest that your friend speak to an attorney about this incident. Criminal attorneys normally give a free initial consultation. The attorney could let her know what charges might be brought, if any and how best to handle them.
