I noticed a response from on another post regarding the p4cse.com site and searching it for a missing ncp. I have been to the site and have joined. Can you provide some pointers for searching?

Well, I don't know your whole story and what all has been tried. Do you have a support order and if so what have they done so far to attempt to locate the other parent?

If you let me know this info then I can tell you what steps to take next. Locating a parent is not easy, but there are ways to do it.

Did you post on P4CSE and ask anyone for some info?

Thank you for responding. Kidoday actually e-mailed me after I posted telling me you went away for the weekend.

This is for my DH. He has a support order from 1989 for $25/wk. He has never received any money. She disappeared right after my DH won custody of the boy (he was 3 at the time, turning 18 in July). We don't know how to proceed when we have no info on mom.

Well, for starters, send a letter that says on the envelope, "please do not forward, forwarding address requested". This way if she forwarded her mail ever, they can get you the address. You can also call the post office and see if they can give you her change of address information.

No contempt charges or anything have ever been filed? Does CSE have the case or do you just go through the courts? If CSE does not have the case and your DH knows her social security number, get a case started, they can track her social security number, but you need to get on them.

YOu can also email me her name and last known whereabouts and I can do a little research this afternoon if you would like.

My DH did not file any contempt charges due to the fact that she had threatened to run with the boy if she ever had him in her possession (he did not want to invite trouble). She was court ordered to follow very specific steps to be allowed unsupervised visitation (never done). She disappeared right after court in August of 1989. She was living in her car before court, therefore, she had no address. My DH thinks she went to Florida but?? He does not have ANY info on her other that maiden name and DOB. I will e-mail you the info we have on her.

I hate to probably burst your bubble.. however it's highly unlikely you're going to get anything at this point with it being so long. Have you ever opened a case with CSE? Even if you don't use them it's always good to at least have a record with them. What county is your order in?? PLEASE don't say Marion!! I know from experience AND from word of mouth from my current CSE caseworker that Marion county is the worse. Even when you use them however you're supposed to provide them with everything. The best thing I suggest is pay the money for ussearch.com or whatever that site is and start there to see if that helps. Try investigating yourself. HIPPA however has probably hurt a lot of us trying to get some information out there. It's the whole privacy thing... they don't care if it's for a deadbeat.
