What is the name of your state? Pa
hey guys im back, today i went to pay the rent to the court of common pleas in the state of Pa, while there i asked to see the file, the lady asked for the docket number and asked if i was the landlord, i said, no and she asked whom am i, i stated my name and she asked me where is hubby, and i told her that hubby is deployed with the united states army in kuwait, she than proceeded to tell me that since the defendant is not here for the court case this hearing stop, i started to cry and get very sick, she called on the courts attorney, i showed her the papers attached to the sailors and soilders act that the landlord's attorney could not locate among other documents regarding his deployment,, the court attorney filed out a continance application based on the fact that husband is active duty in the united states military, the new court date is set for september 5, of this year, my question is now what, im sick of this ****, the court denied the landlord her rent increase and denied my request for a stay of judicial proceeding because i am not a lawyer and lawyers are the only one who can request this, i got a lawyer to do this, now what, what other **** can the landlord and her attorney do to me, i have been sick and in fact got very sick at the court house,
i have fed ex the continance paper to the the landlord and also left a copy in her mail box, now what?? is the ball in my court , since she cant sell the house and cant increase the rent and cant evict me, can i demand things for her such as if you want me out, you have to pay me, and i want an apology, now what, some please give me any suggestions, what **** can they do to me now
thanks ann

Ann If you can get your LL to offer you enough money to make it worth your while to move DO it , fair odds are from everything you have posted ( been following this one for while ) Your LL might just be tired enough of the whole thing Of course you will have to talk to a lawyer about making sure that if you get her to pay you enough to leave that your Off the hook to her for any other obligations . good luck to you .
