What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

My cousin was a realtor in Washington and just discovered he'd been overpaid a sales commission 4 years ago. Is there a statue of limitations for it being considered not repayable. The right thing to do is repay it, but it's been 4 years and it just came to light as he was getting rid of some papers.
