Sales Tax... please help

Sale Tax
example, the subtotal of an invoice is 755.16 (face amount) and it has a discount of 10% plus taxes.... should I calculate the 7.0% rate taxes to the face amount (755.16) or to the discouted amount (755.16 - 10%)???? help!!!!
