MD: I'm new to the forum, and have been reading some of the posts...they've been very informative and helpful.

Regarding the ex who is planning to sue me for payment on a purchase HE made for HIMSELF...I have more than paid him for this purchase, and actually thinks he should be paying me back a hundred bucks or two! Should I send him a certified letter detailing the dates and amounts of payments? I'm afraid if I do this will be evidence that "can and will be used against me in court." What should I do?

How easy/hard is it to prove verbal agreements in court anyway?

extremely hard to prove verbal agreements, especially without validated witnesses
