I bought this mattress set off of a small business for $450 a few months back. They owner agreed to let me make payments. I paid it all down to $80 and then he served me with papers.

His paper work show a receipt for a Queen mattress set. I bought a king set. He also shows $1750 as the original purchase price, which is incorrect.

What are my options here? I don't mind paying the man $80, but his paperwork is incorrect.

If you have a receipt for the set you bought showing the $450 price and receipts for each of your payments reflecting a balance of $80 then you will have no difficulty in court. Possibly you can call him and ask why?

Why did he serve you papers? What is the correct original purchase price? Is this case going to be heard in small claims court?

Take a photo of your mattress to prove what type of mattress you have.

Check the Better Business Bureau website and online county records to see if this man or this business has a record of previous similar complaints.
