What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

I've bought couple of Sample CDs for Drums (brand Zero-G) and Keyboard (brand BigFish) sounds for songs I'm currently working.
One other Sample CD I have says on the cover "Loops for DJs". Almost all my songs have samples from these CDs, especially drum tracks.

Since I've already paid for these CDs to buy them, I sometimes wonder, if want to sell these songs to a record label in future then do I still need to pay anything to the original owner of these CDs Or to the manufacturer?? And for the CD which says "Loops for DJs", does it affect If I use them in songs and not in real DJing.

Appreciate you help. Thanks.

Oftentimes when you purchase these sample CD's they include a license that allows you to use the samples therein in your own work. If you have the CD cases, check to see if there is any license language on them -- otherwise you could contact the manufacturer of the CD's (the label) and ask if the samples come with a license to use them in your own commercial work.

If the license ONLY cover's DJ'ing, or only covers non-commercial use in songs, then you would have to get permission from the label (or whoever owns the copyright to the samples) top use them legally. Simply purchasing a CD does not give you a license to do anything more than listen to the CD.

Thanks Divgradcurl. It helps. I'll check the CD covers for licensing info.
