What is the name of your state? PA

I Live in Pa (Gettysburg area), I moved into my townhome, which I RENT, In June of 2005. I want to install a satelitte dish with direct tv, for the NFL Package. however just looking over my lease agreement. it states and I quote "Satellite dishes are prohibited at the property, This includes the 18" digital satellite dishes". Isn't their an FCC regulation that states that I can have a dish at my home as long as its on my property and for use only by the tenats dwelling on that property. Im sure my landlord can tell me where It can be mounted ie.. roof, no drilling into the concreate. But can I have it mounted on a pole in my back yard close to the house. This is a brand new townhome developement.

thanks,
Any questions or resopnses are welcomed

The FCC has declared that city, local and association ordinances against satellite dishes are unenforceable since they interfere with the interstate commerce of satellite TV distribution. Try going to the www.fcc.gov site for more info.

However, this means that the OWNER of the unit has the right to install a dish on his property. You as a tenant have to abide by his rules and may not install things expressly forbidden by the lease.

However since it requires no outside installation, you can probably get away with having a window open 24x7 and having the dish inside the townhouse pointed at the satellite outside. Good luck with that.

You were doing just fine until the end there. :p If the OP's quoted language is from the lease verbatim, then he will not be able to skirt the rule by putting the dish in the window.
