Well the it's the weekend, the banks are closed, and on Monday at the crack of dark I'll be leaving on vacation. So I was wondering if any of you, (I realize you don't have a crystal ball), could give me any clues on my question.

I presently owe a small amount of money on my original mortgage with "Bank no. 1", and I have a Home Equity Loan with "Bank no. 2".

Today in the mail I received a 'Satisfaction of Real Estate Mortgage' signed and notarized by the Register of Deeds from "Bank no. 2", even though I still owe money on that account. There was nothing else in the envelope but the signed form.

Does anyone have a clue as to why I received this?

Thanks for any info,
Me
