satute of limitions on debt collection

What is the name of your state?CA


Which states statue of limitations applies with reguard to credit card debt and a bank loan? From what I've been able to find out, the sol of the state in which the loan was signed applies to the loan and the current state of residense applies to credit card debt. Is this correct??

Here is my understanding: Generally, you must be sued in the jurisdiction where you live. So, the judge will start with the SOL of that state. The plantiff or defendant can present arguments to the judge that a different SOL applies. The judge will decide.
