Hello,
I am hoping a lawyer out there or somebody that knows a lawyer will read this an take on my case. I am currently a student at Baruch College and have been put into a very difficult position by the school. When applying to Baruch College I weighed all of my options as to what college I should go to. I was accepted into Baruch's Honors program and was told (in memorandum) that I would be recieving a full-tuition scholarship for the four years as long as I maintained good academic standing and fulfilled a community service requirement (which I have fulfilled and isn't in question). My freshman year went by without a hitch, the scholarship was applied to my tuition. This year they decided to change a policy that eventually led to the taking away of my scholarship. I have spent almost two months trying to go through the hierarchy of the school, which has been taxing. The school is arguing that as long as my tuition is covered by financial aid that I was not deserving of the scholarship (which was merit based, not based on financial need). They have been putting me through this whole ordeal attempting to make me seem greedy, obnoxious and ingrateful. I am just looking for some legal guidance and possibly somebody to guide me through the process because I have nobody that I can speak to about this matter at the school or in my family network. I would really appreciate any help that can be offered by way of law.
Thanks,
-Baruchian
