What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Hi, I am currently a resident of california but was accepted into the University of Utah.
Long story short, i was approved of my student loan a week before school started so i made it up to UT from CA, got arranged in my apartment etc, Started School, bought my books, I was told my funds would be available two weeks after the semester started in time to pay my rent etc... Well after two weeks no money came in so i called the school and they said my loan was denied...
My question is how can they tell me my loan was approved, let me spend all this money on books, rent, start school even and then tell me i was denied.
Im completely out of luck as my parents have horrible credit, I cant get a loan through the bank and im only eligible for $4,000 now from the government which wont even cover tuition.
Do i have options? Can the School do this?
Sincerely -
