Pennsylvania is the state.,
My school distict adopted a code of conduct policy where as if a student is arrested anywhere within the school district, outside the grounds of school, after school, weekends, summer recess, spring break, etc... that the police will notify the school and the school will dismiss the student for no less than 45 days from any activity they may be in, PLUS their prom, graduation, all star games, etc...
My question is, is this legal that the police release private info about juvenals without the parent's permission?
Besides, how can the school kick some one out of an activity for something they did OUTSIDE of the realm of school?
If I am wrong please give me the legal reason why and if am am right, how can I proceed to have this brought to the attention to the district and the taxpayers of the district.
Thank you,
Parent/taxpayer/teacher in the district
