Issue: I have a friend who is two classes away from graduation. Her issue is a bit perplexing. She no longer has any FA available to her. However, she still has loans. That is until her college decided to tell Sallie Mae that she had graduated, when she hadn't. She doesn't have the six month deferment available. And because the college was recently bought by A&M their systems are being overhauled. She won't be able to get to this issue until fall registration. The problem with that is because she doesn't have the deferment time Sallie Mae will not give her any loans, even if they are given the correct graduation time.

So, now she is two classes away from obtaining a four year degree. Someone at her college messed up. Can she hold the school liable for wrong information? She has no funds to pay for the two classes.

Thank you for your time and effort.
