What is the name of your state? Texas
My son goes to a public junior high school. Two years ago they went to school uniforms. Ok I understand why they did it, I can live with it. Last year they decided no one could consume carbonated beverages or candy in the school and that the kids could only bring one small serving of cookies or other dessert to the school. OK its a little "in my business" but I didn't send that stuff to school with my son anyway, so little impact to me. And both rules were made "for the good of the kids".
My son just came home and told me he is no longer able to bring Gatorade or any other sports drink to school. He now has to buy it from the school cafeteria if he wants it. And of course it costs twice as much as I can buy it in the store. This is Houston,Texas. It is about to get very hot here and he has gym right before lunch. This rule is not about what's good for the kids, its about a Houston public school making money by controlling concessions in the school. I know they can forbid you from bringing in food and drink at a professional sports game or amusement park. But can they force people to buy food at a public school rather than bringing it from home?
Thanks
