I recently hacked the school website using SQL-Injection. We didn't break anything but i made a very childish joke: I placed the word 'cancer(a serious curse-word in my language - dutch)' on it.

School then went to the police and now I'm thinking about turning myself in. What do you thing i will receive as punishment for this crime if i cooperate fluently. Also, do you believe i will be kicked from school, or will a police punishment be enough in their eyes?

Please remember i am under-age and thus other rules might apply to me(?).
Thanks in advance,
DBrucie

Not only is computer "hacking" a federal crime, but also it is a felony under many conditions. Just because you MAY not be tried as an adult does not mean you will escape with a slap on the wrist. If you did nothing more, I think it unlikely you would be jailed. But, many people of your age are unable to touch a computer by court order as punishment.

Read that last line again and know I mean all computers.

Do not tell the school. Do not say anything to anyone with two exceptions. You need to tell your parents and you need to tell the attorney they will get for you. Attorney? Yes. The course of your life can change because of this and you have to be careful. Get an attorney to advise you. Maybe he will tell the school and try to work out a deal where you can help secure the system by telling them exactly how you penetrated the system.

As a note, this is a double post and on the other thread our OP has indicated he lives in The Netherlands, New York, and Texas. So, what state or nation's laws might apply is a question mark at this point.

No matter the state or nation, an attorney is recommended.

Yeah i wasn't sure what this would fall under. But I do live in the Netherlands, and i was just curious as to my legal standing in (insert random state here), United States.

Thanks for all the help though.

Why would you be "curious" about the consequences of your crimes in the US?

It's a pointless question, and a waste of the volunteers' time.

An even greater waste of time by posting this same question in multiple places.

This will not increase your chances of receiving an answer that makes you happy.
