This is a pasted version from the Family Law area...The message, I felt, would be better answered in this area.

What is the name of your state?State Law is VA.

My sister-in-law, who lives with me, was wrongly accused of being involved in a fight. The security officer wrongly accused her of this involvment. The security officer has also been known to harass the ESL (English as a Seccond Language) students, by bulling them into forced submissions of guilt. For example, when she called my sister-in-law into the office, her first words were "You know why you are here!" and following this statement, she began to write the suspension notice  . These submissions result in Off-School-Suspensions. I am afraid that my sister-in-law's case is not the first one, nor the last. What can I do, as a concerned family member, to open up an investigation on the security officers and school administrators involved in this, and other cases. This matter saddens me, due to the discriminatory practices of the security personnel against non-black students.

I went to the students houses, who were witness to the fight and the where abouts of my sister. I was able to obtain signed and noterized statements (Family friend who is a notery came with us to the houses) from these students, with their parents watching. When talking to some of the parents, they voiced out the same concerns regarding the only two security officers at this school. We were able to also get a statement from one of her teachers, who can give the time that she saw her, which discredits the security officer on my sister's involvement in this fight.

The principal called her into the office yesterday, along with the security guard that wrote up the report, to question her about the fight. The security guard had conflicting information on the form that she filled out regarding the out-of-school suspension. i.e., she stated that my sister had a pass to her locker (not correct, her pass was to the security office). The principal then questioned the guard on this, asking if she ever saw the pass. The security officer said "No, I did not see the pass in question. That must be my mistake". My sister showed the pass to the principal that was signed by her teacher giving her permission to go to the "Security Office". The security officer then accused my sister, on the report, that she knew a female who was involved. She did not know the girl, and stated this several times to the security guard, who was, again, trying to bully her into a forced statement. The Security gurad even went to the extent of bring this girl into the office for questioning. The other girl was getting mad because she has never seen my sister in the school. So, the principal called me at work telling me that there will be an investigation on the suspension. Falsifying documentation, especially for a school district, is not valuable evidence for the security guard. This security guard service has very shady practices, and I am going to do everything I can to shine light on these two guards.

So, in a nut shell, she was not involved in a fight. When she was telling me her side of the story, she was looking me directly in the face. She did not give me any warning signs of deveating from the truth. (Studied several years on criminal body language at SHSU and at the prision, where I worked for an internship). We have been discussing with a lawyer the options that we have regarding this case. She gave us several options, but it all depends on the principal's willingness to cooperate with the family on the security officers admittance of guilt regarding this case.

thx for the response.
