What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey/ California

I live in New Jersey but this past incedent happened in a Hyatt in Calfornia.
This past Sunday I was taking a shower and the warm water began to drop every few seconds. I had to chase the hot water up and up to keep it luke warm. After a few minutes of chasing the hot water up and up. I had soap in my hair and on my face and wham I got scolded with HOT water which made me jump back and I hit my head on the left side and when I tried to reach to try and turn the water off it was to hot. My reflexes wouldn't allow me to get scolded enough to turn it off. I then decided to bail out of the shower and sliped and fell on my left side on the tile floor. I scolded my lips, chest and below the belt area...

I was there on business and couldn't go to get checked out by a hospital or a doctor. I made an incedent report with security and management and had to go to work. I took pictures of my chest an face. I had an instant headache and chapped like lips. I ended up popping several tylenol extra strength all day and I also suffered from sensitive nipples all day while wearing a dress shirt.

I received a phone call from the engineer and they informed me that the pump was bad and needed to be fixed.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks...

Sounds like you incurred no medical bills and will suffer no permanent damage. Wear an undershirt for a couple of days.

He could ask for a few free nights since he didn't pay for his recent stay. Maybe he can get his next weekend vacation hotel stay for free.

It wasn't a business trip, it was costing me $120 a night. The previous customer of the room somehow broke a fastener that holds the seat to the bowl. He used a rolled up paper cup to "fix" the problem. We discovered it when my grand daughter used the toilet and was deposited on the floor. I reported the problem to the desk, a new seat was installed almost immediately and the next morning I was informed that my stay was on the house.
