Hi, the other day my landlord and a police officer came into my home while I was on vacation and seized some paraphanelia. My brother was at my house at the time, but they didn't have a search warrant. My question is can they do this while I am away or even if I am there for that matter? I live in Utah. Also, some "evidence" they picked up was a set of scales. Can they use this for a distribution charge even if they didn't find any actual controlled substance? Thanks!
