What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

I was wondering if anybody had any experience around the following scenario: this lady’s husband lives in US legally, she lives in Brazil. She does not know what her husband has in US, home, bank account, any his workplace . Can she directly or through Consulate start a search for his bank accounts, homes he owns here in US and where he works?

One way to find out some of his assets is to do a UCC-1 search. This will yield big ticket items that a bank/lending institution has an interest in. Some states permit free searches. Other states charge around 10 bucks per search.

Good Luck!
