What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Fed

Hello, In June of 2008 I was subject to a federal search warrant. No charges were filed since that time and I can not see if anything I have done was illegal and I FOR SURE have no involvement in the crimes listed on the warrant. I may have been in contact with others who were but I was not. I was merely in a roleplaying type thing. In April and May of 2009 I heard from the agents that I would get my stuff back soon with the one in May saying it would be a few more weeks and apologized many times for the delay. I did not contact them or solicit them for that information, the agent took it upon himself to contact me. I was cooperative fully with them. I don't really care about the stuff they have but I am getting married in a couple of months and want to put this whole thing behind me. Do you think that they would have contacted me saying my stuff would be shipped if they did not complete their exam of it and found nothing and do you think its somewhere in beurocratic limbo right now?

No offense intended here.... but are you even dimly aware of the trouble you might be in? Your computers should be the least of your concern. If you're not willing to wait it out then you need to hire an attorney because continuing to speak to ICE can only hurt you and it's not worth it for a few computers which you have probably replaced by now anyway. It also won't help to bring the whole matter to a quicker resolution.

I think you misunderstood and i mistyped. I have not spoken to them in over a year. The agent emailed me in April (actually I think more like late March) to thank me for my patience and to tell me my stuff would be returned shortly. I do not care about my stuff at all. I have been waiting it out and I do not plan to bug them about it. In May the agent emailed me again apologizing for the delay and said the stuff would be returned in a few weeks. THey did not ask me any questions at that time. I was only asked for cooperation in June and a follow-up in July of 2008 and that was only to assume an online persona I created.

I honestly don't understand what your question is. They will keep your seized property until they are done with the investigation. You can either do nothing, contact them on your own, or pay an attorney to try and find out for you. Doing nothing involves no risk and no expense, and since you don't need your property back I would think that's the best choice. I'm sure you want some piece of mind and to know this is all behind you but there is nothing you can do to speed up the investigation.
