My daughter was asked to go into a seclusion room where my autistic son was having a meltdown and have him come out. She was asked this by his resource room teacher. Any advice?

How old are your son and daughter? What is the school policy regarding the use of the seclusion room (you should have been given a copy at your son's IEP meeting)?

My daughter is 11 and my son is 10 but he is bigger than her and could have hurt them both. The IEP says nothing about using her to help with him at any time. We have never given them permission to enlist her help.

I imagine the school felt that your daughter, as the sibling, might have some influence in the situation. If you don't want her involved, then tell the principal and teachers, both verbally and in writing.
