I am interested in applying for a position that requires a Secret security clearance and I have two questions.

1. The background form asks if I am 180 days delinquent on any loan or obligation? How far back should I list unpaid bills. In my younger years, I was not very responsible and did not pay several bills/checks. That was over 10+ years ago. Now my credit is fairly good.

2. The form also asks about past mental health disorders. If I was treated for depression/ocd, and my last visit was over a year ago (I’m better now), how will that affect my chances?

Thank you.
