I was terminated from my previous job. my new job requires me to get a secret clearence. Will this play a major role in the decision making process?

Should I be concerned?

What is the name of your state? MD

Are records stored at the state umployment office part of a background investigation for a secret clearence. For example if you were denied benefits.
That is probably public info and, if it is, then anyone can look at it.

(Stand by for an employment law lawyer or anyone else with an opinion.)
