SECURITY at WORKPLACE

WHAT IS MY EMPLOYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE A SAFE WORK ENVIROMENT?
A NON-EMPLOYEE CAME INTO THE SECURED BUILDING WHERE I WORK. I KNEW THE INDIVIDUAL AS DOES EVERYONE ELSE, HOWEVER I WAS ASSAULTED, BY THE PERSON. WHAT CAN I DO?
I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MUNICIPAL COURT, AND THE PLEA HEARING IS THURSDAY. MY EMPLOYER IS NOT A PART OF THIS, I FEEL THERE RESPONSIBILITY IS TO PROSECUTE IS MY EMPLOYERS AS WELL.

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM MY STEWARD, WHO IS HANDLING MY GRIEVENCE. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE GOTTA CALL FROM THE ACTING SUPERVISOR TO INFORM HER THAT I AM ALLEGEDLY FOLLOWING FOUR OF MY CO-WORKER AROUND (STALKING)DURING THE DAY AND THEY ARE AFFRAID OF MY AND THAT I ACCOSTED ONE IN THE PARKING LOT ON FRIDAY.
IS'NT THIS SLANDER?
OVER THE YEARS I HAVE BEEN IGNORING THIS BEHAVIOR, BUT THEY ARE GETTING OUT OF HAND OUT OF CONTROL. THEY SAY THEY FEAR ME. I FEAR THEM NOW FOR REAL!
WHAT IN GODS NAME DO I DO?
HOW DO YOU DEFEND SOMETHING SO INSANE?

NO !!!! The word is called harassment. I don't know what is going on in your workplace, but this is really absurd. I have suggested several options for you and I don't understand where the breakdown in communication lie but this is extremely important that you get the appropriate persons involved before someone get hurt. You must contact the Office Of The Inspector General For The United States Post Office at(888)877-7644. This contact number has nothing to do with your grievance rights or procedures. Please do not be afraid to utilize your resources.

JUST READ YOUR REPLY, I DID CALL OIG, INFACT 06-15-01 THEY SENT SOMEONE FROM THE ASSESSMENT OFFICE OUT. HOWEVER THE SELECT GROUP ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT ARE ADVISED TO TALK TO HIM AND THEY THINK HE THERE TO ASSURE MY NON RETURN TO WORK.
SO THE TRUTH WILL COME OUT!
I HOPE ONCE IT IS THIS WILL ALL STOP AND SOME OF THEM GET FIRED FOR LYING.
