I was sent an email stating that my e-QIP was initiated. However, my secret clearance is not up until 2 years from now. I originally had Confidential when I was in college but it was upgraded to Secret when I graduated. I still have 2 years left on it. Can I contact a lawyer and have this postponed? Of course, the people in security doesn't want to lift a finger as this is too much work for them since everything is automated now.
