I am from PA. I recently ended my one year lease and awaited the return of my security deposit. I received it the other day and the landlord charged me $410 for a new carpet in the apartment. There were a few stains in the living room (noted on the move-in checksheet), but nothing else was wrong with it. We took very good care of it and made sure not to spill anything or even get it dirty with our shoes. I did not do a walk-through with the landlord, because they were not available and did not take any pictures. I know that the carpet did not need to be replaced...what should I do? Please help!!!
