State: Wisconsin. My landlord provided me with a list of damages along with the left overs of my security deposit. I talked to the new tennants and they verified that none of the work had been done that was on the list. Can they keep money of mine even if they do not intend to fix the damages? Or, how long do they have to make the repairs? And what if the ammounts they list are obviously too high? i.e. $480.00 to replace carpet in a 12' x 11' room.

You have to sue your landlord in small claims court, and demand he prove by cancelled checks to a legitimate licensed bonded company that the money was paid out.....

The money should not go to his BUBBA-IN-LAW!
