My son living in San Diego, California for the past few years in a leased single family home with a girlfriend, came home from work to find his girlfriend had moved in a new boyfriend and states she has removed his name from the lease telling him to move out or she's calling the police. She also states he is not getting his half of the security deposit which was jointly invested. Can she legally remove his name from a lease, kick him out under the threat of police action keeping all items purchased. I'm concerned for criminal action against my son should he remove items rightfully his from the home with his name removed from the lease should police be involved. He is wanting to move out but only wants what's rightfully his under the law.

No she can't do that. Especially if L does not know. He should contact L immediately and may have to take floozy to court.
