I live in Florida and I just learned that the house that I'm renting is being foreclose. Before I entered to lease agreement I asked the landlord if this house was being foreclose and he said NO. I was serve two weeks ago, And I asked the landlord if I could use the deposit for rent this month and just go month to month. He said it's not gonna work, and he will start the eviction if I don't pay him today, I replied that you were not being honest with me, and now we need to move again and it's so inconvenient for us ,He's replied was "NOT MY PROBLEM" I have no problem paying him, but I want to protect my deposit. What can I do? Please I need your help. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
