I live in South Dakota but am moving very soon. I lease from a rental agency. I received notice that I must have the carpets cleaned and present a receipt from the cleaner. Can the landlord stipulate how my carpets are cleaned and are they intitled to know how much it cost me? I own a steam cleaner and planned to do it myself. LEW

YES it would be the wisest choice is to get a professional cleaning company to do the rugs...since its in the lease.

Dont you get carpet cleaning coupons in the mail? Or in the newspaper? Well use them.
