SO have you checked your state laws to see if they also say 30 days from move out ? If your states law time frame has now passed then if the refund or deposit disposition has not come as of todays mail the LL can argue all they want about excuses for being late but the tenant is free to file in small claims and ask for any penalty your state allows when LL fails to get this done on time and BTW if the LL attempts to argue that they are exempted because its assisted living then I guess the best comeback is to have a copy your states laws that talk about deposits and politely in court ask to be shown where in statute XXXX it is listed.
