new question...spoke with landlord...he called last pm...now, he said
he needs the apt for family and it aint the money ...he wants cooperation
and me to move ...now as far as emergency assistance, do i still have to use
it to pay him? massachusetts...can't i use that instead to move with...and is
there any loophole or something i can do to stop him from making me move?
if not, cant i refuse to pay him any more money...and use my emergency
assistance to move with? then after -pay him little by little...?
i have til sunday to give him an answer or he's going to court...should i just
cooperate and stop the EA...or should i fight the eviction in court...he told
me even if i didnt owe him money he would be doin this...can he legally?
he also said he expects the EA too cuz it's money owed to him...but if he's
evicting me on this short notice...cant i just pay him in payments?
...i am really not an irresponsible person...just one on
disability and raising a child alone...son got sick...hospital time galore...and
child support was delayed due to other circumstances........one more thing, if
i find out my son's problems are a direct result to a slow gas leak here at
home...and the landlord- wanna -be has known about the leak and done
nothing do i have a countersuit...if so, could i use that to get out of my
other situation too? or is that just a separate issue?
thanks in advance ...i do appreciate your time and responses.......

I really need to ask one overwhelming question:

Why is is ALL of you single moms, seem to have kids by BUMS?
And all of your parents are BUMS TOO?

Where is the Father in this? or what about HIS PARENTS?
Why arent the grandparents kicking in a few DOLLARS to keep their grandchild safe?...... Or YOUR parents?

Doesnt anyone trust you for a few $$$ so you can stay there?
Thats where your efforts should be spend NOT at collecting WELFARE!

----------------
Now with that said......IF you have a gas leak why havent you called the gas company and have them inspect the place?

AND YES.... YOU OWE THE LANDLORD THE RENT.....Why on EARTH do you think he Doesnt deserve it?

HE WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT and get a judgement and with that you probably wont be able to rent another apartment if they do a credit check...

SO.... dont worry you can move back home with your parents, or his!

to answer your question...

my parents are dead, his father is out of state and his father's parents were were killed in a gang related incident
a few yrs back...in the wrong place at the wrong time...
so i guess our parents are not BUMS...his father is tech-
nically not a BUM either he is working for a multi-million
dollar company who cant seem to get their acct/payroll
dept straight...so I guess they are the BUMS...
As for the gas leak, it has been reported...at least 7 times
and i have footed that bill and been re-imbursed by this
wanna-be-landlord who promises to fix things and never does.
He was here just 2 wks ago and his partner asked him if he
couldnt still smell the gas...and i guess his nose doesnt
work...the gas company told him to remove the stove and he told them he would...but never did and doesnt plan to...now who is the BUM?!
Fine the money is owed but i should be able to make payments
to him...because to get emergency assistance he has to agree he wont pursue eviction...which is Not what he is doing...
Lastly, as you sit comfortable in your little corner of this world I honestly hope you stop and realize there really are some people who need the system...who have no where else to turn...I will agree the system is abused...but not by me...They offered me food stamps and to pay up my utility bills and to give me a check each month too...I turned them down...I will make due with my disability payments...and I raised my 15 yr old son to be responsible ...he began working at age14 just to help me out...and we will make it...but it's not as easy for some of us...I hope you never find that out...and I dont appreciate the comments about my family either...thank you

one other thing~

He, the landlord, said even if it was paid up to date...he
would be doing this cuz he needs the place for his family...
the only thing I wanted to know now for future reference is:
are landlords allowed to do that? Make someone move when their rent is paid up and theyve given him no problems...to move his own family in?

OH GEE WHIZ.....everyones dead.......and youre all alone and the father is too lazy to get a second job, or send you some money... GEE... expect it to be duducted for him...what a loser.

Come on EVERYBODY gives that excuse when they apply for welfare, everyones dead, fathers dead, dont know any of his family...

If it's true that everone is dead then you are the FIRST person I have ever heard of in all my years of knowing about welfare, adoption, and social services through my girlfriends and her co workers, .....giving that excuse, and telling the truth!

Where did you go for the holidays when you were married to him?....doesnt anyone have few $$$ to help you out?

And your children SHOULD BE working at 14......I had a paper route at 12 and started working at Carvel and IHOP at 15,

And you can work too.....with government disabilty you can earn up to $700 a month and they cant touch yur disability check!

So pay the landlord, or have Welfare pay him, and yes he has a right since YOU HAVE NO LEASE to do what he pleases as long as he gives you a 30 day notice...

You have some serious choices to make in the coming days.

Good Luck!
