this is my first time on this board
If anyone in anyway can offer some sort of advice I would be very greatful
I am from Texas.
As stated in the subject I have a 14 year old sister that is autistic, I am lost and do not know where to to turn with this but here it goes
My sister lives with my parents and 23 year old brother, over the last few years my brother has been involved in questionable actitivities with other men involving lewd sexual acts(ie bondage, videos,) and he spends most of his time on the internet interacting with these kind of people he even leaves pictures and various things of this perverted nature for anyone to open including my sister, she uses the internet ( she has what they call PPD with a touch of autism) and she is a very bright child . anyway as time has progressed I have taken many steps to get my parents to limit my brothers internet access as I see this to be very harmful to my sister but time and time again they let their guard down and allow him to continue..My solution would be no computer access for him at all but my father fails to see it that way. My main problem is I have taken to possibly getting a lawyer and suing for custody of my sister,on the grounds that he (my brother) is permitted to live in their home and do as he wishes all the while my sister is forced to be in this type of environment because my father feels that doing anything about my brother is a big inconvenience.
today he made death threats to my husband and has made threats about killing my parents before
am I wrong in thinking this is very harmful to her well being?
I am 25 with a good career and I am on my way back to college. I have a child of my own on the way as well.if anyone knows anything about the way the legal system works in a situation like this , please help me.
