Our home was raided by the US Drug tast force on Dec. 30 1999. They had an arrest warrent for my husband and a search warrent for his property also. They did not have a warrent for me nor did they have a search warrent with my name on it. The property actually is in my name only and is still in my old married name however they searched anyway. Because of a small amount of meth they found in my husband clothing they arrested me for possesion with intent to deliver, possession and mainting a house of common nuisance. Within an hours time they had a seizure order filed and they took over our property real and personal. We are fighting the criminal case and were are being sued to forfiet everything except for a few personal things like clothing and necessities. We are not allowed on the premises. We had to be escorted the 1 time we were allowed to go back to get our dogs and we got to see how they severly trashed everything they didn't haul off. We are out on bond living with relatives. My son has been ordered by the courts to stay with our neighbors until we can get on our feet. We don't feel it's right that we can't live there while we are fighting all of this. What does the law say in this kind of situation?
