Hello,
I am an illustrator and I need to do a contract for a self-published ebook about parenting tips. We do a bi-monthly blog which I am paid hourly for the illustrations and any used in the book will be paid the balance of $200 each. I want to retain ownership and get royalties if the book takes off and there are toys and movies made etc. If it doesn't I don't care and I am being paid up front. I would like to know what are typical contract terms for this? Am I asking too much? They area planning to do several books and who knows what else..

Thank You

this is something you need to hire a lawyer to do for you. There are too many pitfalls to let this be a DIY project.
