I purchased my home in May of 2005. The purchase itself was a fiasco, the sellers got really nasty when it came time to close, they were not even moved out of the house at the time of the close. It was not noted in the disclosure that there were mold issues in the bathrooms of the house, nor that they had rats. But finally after moving in we got these issues taken care of ourselves. After a few months we started noticing cracks in our pool deck, the tiles in the pool cracking and falling into the pool, the pool constantly losing water, and when you drop something on the pool deck a hollow noise. Sinkhole?? I know for a fact just before they put the house up for sale they redid the entire pool. After speaking to my next door neighbor this past weekend, she states they only redid the pool because it all of a sudden lost ALOT of water. She believes they knew the house had a sink hole however she doubts they ever reported it. Now i have a house that my insurance company is telling me i have to pay $4000.00 (deductible) before they will even send anyone out to check to see if it is a sink hole. If anyone can offer any advice as to how i should proceed with this i would appreciate the help. I emailed my realtor last week, and he has not responded as of yet. Thank you!
