We signed a contract to sell our home as we are buying a new house, however wife, was laid off before we closed. We wanted to terminate contract until wife finds new job. Buyers said "no, we will wait" until wife's employment stabilizes. Two weeks later we get a letter from buyer's atty. stating they want to close in two months according to the contract. We want to sell the house to them, but not until employment is stable. What are our options? There are no provisions in the contractfor termination other than us requesting a copy of there loan approval letter and them getting it to us within 5 days of request? What are the best and worst case situations? Thanks in advance
