Hi. I am interested in a home for purchase in CT. Had the offer drawn up w/inspection contingincies. Seller's agent refusing to sign w/ that contingincy. Told my agent "they are not the right people for this house". Also, called my mortgage broker and told him the home was substandard and wouldn't pass any appraisal, therefore, would not qualify for financing. All four of us meeting tonight. Any legality to force an acceptance? Have mortgage preapproval, and funds for large downpayment.

Thanks for the reply. Well, we all met, seems that the listing agent didn't want an inspection because the house is obviously a fixer upper. Built 1890. We did work out that we have ten days to bring in a contractor, plumber, etc., and he won't show the house in that time. He told us that they were looking for a contractor to purchase in cash. My husbands cousin is a contractor specializing in older home renovation and he will be coming in to take a look. We are still worried about the appraisal. Any idea how older homes are appraised? Thanks for your help.
