I have a question about if a home seller's agent used a mock buyer and actually bought the house himself, is this legal? My parents (who live in Taiwan) sold their house and found out later that the person they thought they sold to ended up being another. On the property selling/buying contract it is some guy's name but on the ownership transfer contract they received weeks later it is another (it is the name of the agent's wife) And because my parents trusted the agent and did not check for the housing value at the time, they later realized that the house was sold at a price $150,000 less than its value. Since the house was sold, I was wondering if it's possible to sue the agent for breaking his fiduciary duties? I know the law in Taiwan may be different but I just want to get some advice. Thanks for any input. I really appreciate it.

Similar situation but in USA

I have just gone through a similar situation where I bid on a bank owned property with cash offer without any contingency. I just came to know that the Listing agent from the bank REIMEX bought the home at 25K lower than my offer. I was following up on the property regularly and they kept us in the dark the whole time. The property was initially sold by Duetsche Bank National Trust Company, As trustee. I tried contacting the bank but they respond only via fax or mail with no live person. Don't know what to do.Help!
