What is the name of your state? CT

I posted a similar question under General Questions, but thought it was relevant here as well.

I am in a joint mortgage (tenants in common) where the entire down payment was made by the other party. If the house were to sell, is the profit split 50/50 or would he get all of it since he put all the money down? He would not have been approved for the loan without my credit. Would he have to fight in court to get more than 50% or is it automatically due to him? Thank you very much.

It is a duplicate thread, which I stated previously. I do not think that it is irrelevant. I have more questions that I'm sure a lawyer can answer if he or she wants to. I appreciate your first response, that it is debatable, but would like some more information if anyone on the board is interested in helping me. Thank you.
