From my understanding, it is illegal to sell a list of email addresses without first obtaining the permission (through opt-out) of the owner of the address. What (if any) are the laws regarding selling other contact information (such as direct line phone numbers and the like)?

My question is whether or not there are any laws governing the sale of direct contact information (such as phone, address, and title) provided by customers similar to the laws governing the sale/use of email addresses.
