When selling a home "as is", what type of things is the seller liable for?
I know someone who is being sued 6 months after the sale.
Do they have a case?
I bought my home "as is" to save money, with a home inspection and the knowledge that all repairs would be MY responsibility. I told her to get a good attorney.

Q: I know someone who is being sued 6 months after the sale. Do they have a case?
A: I would guess it is a 50-50 chance.

I told her to get a good attorney.
Excellent advice.

**A: it all depends and we would need the specifics of the litigation in order to determine liability.

**A: are you asking if the Seller has a case? Why, since the Seller is the Defendant and not the sueing Plaintiff.

**A: she does not need a good attorney, she needs a good defense attorney that has litigated seller disclosure lawsuits and prevailed.
