What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NH

My brother and I sold something to a different state and we never recieved our money. He contacted the BBB and they said that there was nothing they could do about it, so now we are seeking legal help. The items at the time were worth about $500 but have now almost tripled. What can we do?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You're only real option is small claims court in the buyer's jursidiction.
The BBB is not a regulatory body. It only helps if the other party wishes to participate.

You should never have shipped something that wasn't paid for.

The recovery is purely on what you were due to be paid (you might get interest). It has nothing to do with how much the items are currently worth.

Why would you send something before the buyer paid for it? Do you wear a sign around you neck that says "steal from me, it's okay"?

other times

I have used other reliable places before, such as starcitygames, and what happens is:

I tell them what I want to sell based on the buylist.
They tell me what they want from me.
I ship to them.
They send a check.

I went through a different company and they denied receiving my products even though I have a delivery confirmation letter.

Do you suggest that i go to a small claims court in connecticut, I am from NH, for this?
