dear iaal, need your help please

Divorce filed Oct. 1999/Texas. Attempted reconciliation in April 2000. Question: During reconciliation period, my husband used my vehicle (separte property from before the marriage) as a trade in on a new vehicle for me in lieu of repairing my car. I now am in possesion of the car. Reconciliation failed Nov. 2000, now, divorce proceedings are on again. What is the rule when separate prop. is taken and used towards community property. Can my husband be ordered to pay for the car, due to the fact that I had no lien on my previous car and now will be in debt?. Can he be awarded the vehicle? I have 2 small children. how can the judge rule?
