I am a resident of GA. My husband and I married here 11 years ago and separted 1 year later. I do not know where to find him, but want to re-marry. How do I get a divorce without him?

Retain a Family Law Attorney who will advise you how to divorce someone when you have no clue as to their whereabouts ..

Good luck.

Not to worry. I have been in the exact same situation. You can seek a divorce without legal counsel and save a bundle. There are many sites that offer legal forms at which you can obtain the papers, fill them out yourself and work Pro Se. You can file on the grounds of abandonment. You will need to send a copy of the papers to his last known address (yes, even from 10 years ago) and/or advertise it in the paper where he was last known to live. Ask your court house how long you must wait for a reply before they will grant the divorce. Once your waiting period is up, sign the papers, move on and be happy like you deserve to be. Best of luck and God Bless.
