What is the name of your state? Georgia

I recently (Aug. 2005) obtained my 4th divorce and am preparing a new will. Recently I was told that I needed to list all ex-husbands' names and dates of marriage/divorce. Is this really necessary? I don't have any children and will leave my estate to my parents and/or my significant other.

And what does Per Stirpes mean??

Who told you that?

And what does Per Stirpes mean??
Basically, if an person named in a will dies before the person who wrote the will dies, then the deceased person's heirs will "step into the shoes" of the deceased. In other words, if you leave your estate to A, B and C in your will, and B dies before you do, then B's heirs will get B's share of your estate when you die.

Alternatively, if your will is NOT "per stirpes," then in the example above, if B dies before you, then B's gift "lapses" and your estate will be split between A and C.
