What is the name of your state? California

I received a summons July 25th and have 30 days to respond. However, there is a court date of August 11, 2004 set by the court for a Case Management Review. It clearly states I was to have been served at least 30 days before this August 11th date.

I contacted the creditor and they want to proceed to court. What are my options?

Thank you.

While you can contest the propriety of service, if the statute of limitations hasn't run out (or will not run out before Aug 11), there's absolutely no benefit to you to do so other than to add more court dates to your case. The reason being is that even if you claim lack of personal jurisdiction for their failure to timely serve you, they can just reserve you the next day with a new summons and court date.
